I just bought this phone for my daughter. The first time it held a charge. This time it will only power on while plugged in and then shuts right off if unplugged and when we try to restart it.

I've had this phone for a year and no real problems. I added minutes this morning via the website and now my phone has been deactivated. Can I get some help?

I had this phone for years. They are telling you that you can't disable the browser, but you can. You just need to go to menu-settings-security-and enter your lock code.

It is the last 4 digits of your phone number unless you have changed it. Then another menu opens. Go to restrictions-data and choose lock. Now when you accidentally hit the browser, it will say "data is now locked" and it won't connect and deplete your minutes.

You can still make and receive calls and texts. It just disables the browser. This works on many phones, though if it's a camera phone it disables sending and receiving picture messages.

We're sorry for the trouble, madalynanderson. We are not able to remove the browser application for the phone.
