Family Value Plan

Postby IvanJareb » Wed Nov 08, 2017 2:25 pm

3 of the 4 phones on my account are on the Family Value Plan. I thought the 4th one was also -- but evidently not since it ran out of minutes. How do I add that phone back to the Family Value Plan? There does not appear to be a way to do this from the website. Thanks in advance. -- Ivan

Just wondering why this is so Secretive? I've had the same experience with my Family Value Plan. You have to call an agent and it took us 3 months worth of billing cycles to finally get it all straightened out. Now my youngest daughter wants to get a new phone and add it to the "Plan" but I'm not sure I want to go though all that headache again. :x

We've had the Family Plan for a number of years, too, and have wondered if we always get the minutes we're supposed to. While I really appreciate Tracfone making this available, I would really like to see something on their website about it + the ability to add/delete phones as needed, on my account online.
We used to be able to do that; I'm not sure why it was taken off.

Also... On the transactions/support window for each phone, can you PLEASE show how many minutes were added for the month, instead of just "redemption"? I would appreciate more detail for each transaction!

Thank you!

Wow. I have been a Family Value Plan member for many years with 3 phones in the plan. A few weeks ago I received a notice that my plan was cancelled (giving the impression that I cancelled it) and to call customer service (CS) if I wanted it to remain active. I called and after checking the CS person assured me that nothing had changed with my plan. When I checked my credit card I found that instead of the usual $24.67 (I believe 9.99 for first phone and $5.95 for the other 2, plus tax and fees) I was charged $11.85 for each phone for a total of $35.55. I called CS for and explanation and after much checking was told "the plan I was on is no longer offered and I was automatically put on the new plan". Very frustrating given I wasn't told of this ahead of time, and that they dropped me with a low cost plan that worked well for my family . I think I am done with TracFone as there are many other low cost prepaid plans out there.
