The link simply sends me to the Tracfone site where I could have another unhelpful chat online. The other day I chatted with 'Jenny' there, who was nice, but unable to help after having me reboot the phone, turn mobile data on/off.

Jenny was to have another sort of customer rep call me, since the wait time to transfer me to a different type of rep was too long. However, no rep has called me back. So there is no change from March 14th.

Without any kind of problem tracking, customers have to do the same useless and simple things over & over, then wait for a phone call that never comes.

I don't know why anything has to be sent in a PM. The Tracfone website chat is public knowledge.

Hi Maria

I sent a PM a few minutes ago. It still shows up in my 'Outbox' but not in my 'sent' messages.

Is this normal? I expected my reply to you to be in 'sent' messages.

Just to let everyone know, this issue of not being able to access mobile data was fixed today.

It appears something had to be done behind the scenes to get it working, and the tech who called me
seemed to know what was going on with the data problem.
So we -- yet again -- tried changing my APN to vzwinternet, rebooted, and then I could access my data again.

Posting to this topic as it seems most relevant to my question.

My current numbered talk/text/data plan is about to expire and I was thinking to buy an unlimited talk/text plan WITHOUT data as I have a lot of rollover data. But from reading other posts it sounds like the data won't shift to the unlimited plan if I do this; almost as if the two plan types are separate.

Can someone confirm if existing data will roll over into a new unlimited talk/text plan? Obviously the current talk/text will drop but what of data? And will this happen immediately or not until my current expiration date?

Well since no one responded to my question I'm guessing the recommendation is to NOT obtain an unlimited plan as it would then prevent use of my existing data. So I guess I must purchase a regular by-the-minute plan :(
