transfer between tracfones

received a used tracfone from my daughter who switched to a better tracfone and my question is: can I transfer my tracfone number and minutes to the phone my daughter gave me? Can I just add her old phone to my account and then go thru the "Activate/Reactivate Phone" process to transfer my existing tracfone number and minutes?
