phone stopped working suddenly

phone stopped working suddenly

Postby Grant552 » Sun Mar 13, 2022 2:00 pm

My phone suddenly stopped working. Could not call out nor receive calls. Chatted with several agents, they all made me walk through the same steps with no luck. They all ended up giving my number to a higher level technician who would call me. I chatted that I doubt that would work as my phone stopped working. The agents were persistant that I try. Si i received several voicemessage notifications, but, being unable to dial out, I was unable to retrieve them. Now, I cannot access the chat feature on the Tracfone website. This company has been so @#$% awful to deal with for so many years.
I just discovered in a random internet search that Tracfone users phone numbers are being stolen. I believe this to be the case with mine. I do not know what to do or where to go from here. This is my ONLY phone. I have no alternative way to call.

Hi,

I have an almost similar situation.

I checked via 611611 (on Feb 19, 2022) and got this message: "This device is currently not affected by any network changes."

BUT it is now only restricted to "Emergency calls only" Why is this, after Tracfone assured me that my device will not be affected. Now, I cannot call or text? This is my only phone.

Please help solve this.

Thank you

Thank you very much for your response.

The chat has NO way at all of helping me through online Chat (as per the person I chatted with). They suggested I call Tracfone customer service instead. BUT here is the problem: my phone is currently restricted to “Emergency calls only.” And, this is the only phone that I have: I do not have a different phone.

Please help out,
Thanks

First, I dont want your automated reply of....

I am one of the many people who just told you, I CANNOT DIAL OUT OR RECIEVE CALLS suddenly, so I CANNOT get a callback, or dial "611611"!!!
This is my only phone, so NO alternate phone number and nobody to "borrow" a phone from.

My phone, was working fine two days ago. Now suddenly, I can not make calls out, or receive them in.
Text works, internet works, but no calling.
I have been with 7, yes 7 different reps in chat, and have redone my settings so many times, I know them by heart.

If I reset my " network settings", I get phone back, but loose my APN settings. I re-install my APN settings, I loose my calling again.

NOW, a rep tells me, my sim card does not support VoLTE. And needs to be updated. YET....
My wife and I both have the same phones, bought our sims the same day, and use the same plan, but her phone works fine.
Another funny thing, is my phone did this once before, and it had nothing to do with VoLTE, in fact, they didnt fix THAT either!!!
Oh and if anyone is looking for "chat support" on the website, you'll probably have to go to Support.tracfone.com to find the chat icon, that doesnt show up on the "contact us" page.

I asked if there was a way to tell if my number has been ported out by hackers, they told me..
" I have to transfer you to another person that can help with that"... Then told me...Sorry, I cannot do that and that they would do a call back...
Yeah, on a phone that I JUST told them CANNOT MAKE OR RECIEVE CALLS!!!

I bought a new sim, told them I doubted that this will fix this issue, they ended the chat on me for the second time.
If the sim wont support VoLTE anymore, what, NO UPDATE? WARNING? ANYTHING?
No, just failure to operate. Leave your customers, most of who rely on our phones for everything thats vital, to just not have access anymore? Thats sucks.
I want the last 9 hours I was on chat with people who kept making me do the same things over and over and have NO DAMN idea what the problems is, back!
Cant do that either huh?

First, you might want to get yourself a SIMPLE KINDERGARTEN EDUCATION,

"Tracfone looser"

"I get phone back, but loose my APN settings"

"I re-install my APN settings, I loose my calling again"

Listen, it really isn't that hard, they have DVDs like Sesame Street, and The Electric Company, they have children's books at the library, even at the book stores, try reading a few, teach yourself simple words like LOSER, and LOSE, and LOST, they'll teach you things like past tense and present tense, singular and plural, they'll teach you the difference between past and passed, they'll teach you words like, two, to, and too, your and you're, and they'll even teach you the difference between, their, they're and there, heck, I can do it for you, I can teach you the difference in one sentence, no, really, one sentence, not one book, not one chapter, not even a paragraph, but ONE SINGLE LINE, watch this magic trick, ready? Alright, here we go, now pay attention,

"THEY'RE going over THERE to pick up THEIR ball"

AMAZING!

Oh yea, and it's spelled NO ONE, not noone.

I'm not asking for perfection, just learn the SIMPLE words. When I was in high school we used have spelling tests once a week, and the teacher would give us long ass words, we'd have to spell it and use it in a sentence, if he ever gave us a word like LOSE, or LOSER, or LOST, the whole class would have cheered.

In another words, LEARN HOW TO SPELL!
