Not receiving verification numbers

When I try to add airtime or almost anything else on the tracfone website it says that it is sending a verification number to my phone which I then have to enter to proceed. I am not receiving that number and so can't do anything. I have just changed phones so that is probably related to the problem, but I am able to receive other text messages from various people. What might be the problem?
