Old tracfone new unlocked gsm phone

have a Samsung Galaxy J7 purchased from Tracfone. I bought an unlocked GSM Samsung Galaxy S8 active("Unlocked for All Carriers") to replace the J7.

Can I use the sim card from the J7, and If so, what is the procedure?

If I do need to purchase a BYOP sim card, is there anything special I need to do when activating the new S8 active to transfer my account particulars (phone number, minutes, data, service date) from the J7 to the S8 active?

Will the triple minutes also transfer?
