Minutes seem to vanish with very little usage.....

If a unwanted telemarketer or anyone calls and you do not pick up, even though the phone is never answered, does TracFone take a minute away?

I added 500 mins 2 months ago, rarely use the phone now it's empty, there is no way I talked on the phone or hours so something must be going on.
