I don't get 4G anymore, only 3G

I got a Umidigi S3 Pro a couple of months ago, replacing my Samsung S7 Edge. I use to get a weak 4G connection with the Samsung (1 bar usually). I did get 1 bar of 4G on my Umidgi at first, but now get only 3G. I have an ATT SIM card. My question is: should I try a T-Mobile SIM card to see if I can get a reliable 4G connection? If so, do I have to contact Tracfone after installing the T-Mobile Sim to set it up? As you can probably tell I'm not very technically oriented and would appreciated any advice. Thanks
