old phone - different old sim card

I purchased two phones about 18 months ago. One was used as a phone, was abandoned and expired. The other was used as a tablet and never activated. Can I use the (unused) sim card from the second phone in the first phone, or do I need Tracfone to send me a new sim card?

If on Verizon, then you can reactivate the phone using the same sim.
If not, then use the sim from the other phone.

I guess I should have been more specific. Both phones are Tracfone.

Really, Tracfone is the middle man and your phone actually uses Verizon or At&t or T-mobile as your phone service provider. :geek:
