Tracfone on a Samsung Galaxy AO3 - VoiceMail Icon

On my prior Samsung Galaxy AO2 with Tracfone, the voice mail icon (app) would display the number of new voice mails yet to be listened to. On my new Tracfone Samsung Galaxy AO3 I see the VM icon but it doesn't display the number of new voice mails or any indication I have new VMs to listen to.

Is there a way to reveal new VMs via that VM icon (app) or any other way?

Otherwise, I won't know if I have any VMs on any given day.

I just got this Phone.
I have no idea how to use it.
Did you have buy additional cables, adapters to charge the phone?
In the box, there was no SIM card either.
Customer service useless and rude

I want to return it but they want me to pay the postage
Very disappointed with tracfone.com this time
