I had the same experience with my old Tracfone phone, which had paid service for over two years! They all made the same excuses that made absolutely no sense. I spoke with two "supervisors" and even someone supposedly at "corporate." Supposedly, even though I had over 750 days of continuous paid service, only 270 of those counted???? What a load of ****

Anyway, I found an email link to the FCC specifically for Tracfone unlocking complaints.
It is: tracfoneunlocking@fcc.gov
I received an automated response that they would be sending my information to tracfone to resolve.
BTW, I am still a tracfone customer, with a new unlocked phone, but due to this experience I am and will continue to be looking for another option as far as a low cost carrier, that is- unless tracfone makse this right! All I want to do with my old phone is gift it to someone who might need it...

I would like to unlock my 2 Samsung A32 5G phones directly from Tracfone. It is not that I want to switch providers, but after a less that good experience with the Tech Support person, I'd like to keep that option open to me. How do I get a code (or whatever it is) to Unlock my phones?

Or do I just send my phones back and get back to my older Tracfone cell phones?

Hi aznetcowboy. My name is TracFone Jude. We can request for your phone to be unlocked aslong as you meet the requirements provided by our Unlocking Policy.

For customers with Apple devices:
• TracFone will automatically unlock the device when it becomes eligible for unlocking.
• For all Apple devices activated with TracFone prior to November 23, 2021, the device will be automatically unlocked after 12 months of active TracFone service.
• For Apple devices activated with new TracFone service on the Verizon network on or after November 23, 2021, the device will be automatically unlocked 60 days after activation in the absence of an indication of fraud.

For customers with non-Apple devices: TracFone will provide an unlocking code to customers who request unlocking, provided they meet the following conditions:
• If the TracFone device was activated with TracFone service prior to November 23, 2021, then the device must have been active on TracFone service for no fewer than 12 months with service plans redeemed in no fewer than 12 months, and not have had their telephone number recycled or ported.
• If the TracFone device was activated with new service on the Verizon network on or after November 23, 2021, then at least 60 days must have elapsed since the device was activated.
• The device must be in working condition.
• The device has not been reported stolen or lost, and there are no indicators of fraud.

If you have not met the required minimum period of active TracFone service, TracFone may unlock your device, but you will incur a charge of up to $300, depending on how long your service was active prior to the unlocking request. To check if your device is eligible to be unlocked, you can visit our website at https://www.tfwunlockpolicy.com/wps/portal/home/ and enter your phone number or serial number. You can also text the word UNLOCK to 611611. For further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us via this chat link http://bit.ly/2qdrKHH or by calling 1-800-867-7183. Oh how I hate this. As my phones haven't been activated long enough, I guess that rules them out from unlocking. Makes no matter that we've been Tracfone for I think for 15 years. I just know Tracfone is the only carrier I've ever used or intend to use. The service has always been great especially on our trips between Arizona and Wisconsin. Why would I change now? :?:

It's more that if I can get these phones unlocked it will be easier to donate them. We are not exactly what you would call happy with them. My wife hates this phone. I am not going to purchase new phones until I know I can donate these phones.

I am having trouble getting my unlock code after over 1 year of service. My year was up on 8/25/22. I asked when I would be eligible to unlock my phone and was told 9/4/22. I have asked for the code and they now say I am not eligible. Who can help me?
