Tracfone startup

I'm a newbie. I've purchased a SIM card and a one month plan. What do I do with SIM card and when do I enter the scratch off number on back of my plan?

Hi GILGAGNE. I'm TracFone Maria. We'll be glad to help you with the process. You need to insert the SIM card on your phone and take note of your SIM number. For your airtime PIN, you can provide it to us so we can help you with the activation process. To further assist you in activating your phone, please check your Forum inbox for a message. Click on "New Messages" beside User Control Panel to view your Forum inbox. You can use our self-service menu by simply texting the word HELP to 611611. Thank you.

Hi, I am setting up the phone for the first time,
and I typed the serial number to activate the phone but verification doesn't work.
The number is correct. How can I resolve it?
